The Dutch association of insurers VNV warn Dutch who bought electric scooters, skateboards and unicycles while vacationing abroad to remember that they are not allowed on public roads in the Netherlands. Also remember to insure them - if you end up in an accident with an uninsured e-scooter, you may have to pay the damages yourself, the VNV warns, NOS reports.

The Gogoro Smartscooter will soon be heading to Amsterdam. On Tuesday the company announced its intentions to launch its electric smart scooter with replaceable battery and the accompanying energy network in Amsterdam during the first half of 2016, and in other European cities later in the year. The Gogoro Smartscooter is the world's first high-performance, electric two-wheel vehicle with replaceable batteries, according to the company. It was first introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show early last year.
