British man, 21, missing since Rotterdam TwitchCon visit found dead
The body of a 21-year-old man from Manchester, England, who had been missing since attending TwitchCon in Rotterdam, was recovered Thursday morning from the water at Boompjeskade, police said, ending a days-long search that began after he disappeared near Maasboulevard. Police said they do not suspect foul play and are treating the death as an accident.
Bradley was last seen shortly before 2:00 a.m. near Club Munch on Maasboulevard, close to Willemsbrug, after leaving friends during his stay in Rotterdam for TwitchCon, a convention for streamers and gamers. He had been staying at a hostel in the Overblaak Cube Houses area, reported as StayOkay, and did not return.
He was reported missing after failing to make contact with friends and not boarding his scheduled return flight from Eindhoven to Manchester on Monday.
Police said Bradley had last been seen on Saturday, May 30, on Maasboulevard and had been considered an urgent missing person case due to concern for his welfare. He was described as 1.96 meters tall, with a slim build, light skin, and red hair.
His family had traveled to Rotterdam during the search and visited hospitals and reviewed available surveillance footage in an effort to locate him. His sister Amy said that the family “still had hope, but also feared bad news” as the search continued, Rijnmond reported.
