As the turnout continues to creep upward, most political leaders have cast their votes in today’s city council election. Prime Minister Rob Jetten cast his vote in the gym of the primary school Archipel in The Hague. Deputy Prime Minister Dilan Yeşilgoz (VVD) voted at De KHL in the Oostelijk Havengebied in Amsterdam.
Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema voted at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The Hague mayor Jan van Zanen voted on the new University of Leiden campus on the Spui. Utrecht mayor Sharon Dijksma voted in the Dom Tower. Rotterdam mayor Carola Schouten voted at Huis van de Wijk Post West.
D66 leader Jan Paternotte voted at the primary school De Schakel in Leiderdorp. GroenLinks-PvdA leader Jesse Klaver voted at the Kunstmuseum in The Hague. CDA leader Henri Bontenbal voted at the Johannes Church in Rotterdam. PVV leader Geert Wilders voted in a nursing home in The Hague.
SP leader Jimmy Dijk voted at the city hall in Groningen. BBB leader Henk Vermeer voted at MFC de Kiekmure in Hardewijk. FvD leader Thierry Baudet voted in Amsterdam. JA21 leader Joost Eerdmans voted at the Capelsebrug metro station in Rotterdam.
