Video: Woman severely injured in Boxtel home stabbing; 62-year-old woman arrested

A woman was seriously injured Sunday after being stabbed at her home on Annastraat in Boxtel. The victim was opening her front door when the attack occurred.

A 62-year-old woman from Boxtel has been arrested in connection with the incident, Hart van Nederland reports.

The suspect and victim knew each other, but the motive is unclear, police said. Authorities have seized the knife believed to have been used in the stabbing.

A man who was also present in the home was not injured. A trauma helicopter was dispatched to treat the victim at the scene. Police continue to investigate.
