Dead woman found in Heerlen home; 35-year-old man arrested

Police found a dead woman Saturday evening in a home on Stintsstraat in Heerlen. A 35-year-old man from Landgraaf was arrested shortly afterward, authorities said Sunday.

A police spokeswoman told De Limburger that the cause of death is not expected to be determined until Monday afternoon.

“We do not know yet and are considering all possibilities, from suicide to a criminal act. The investigation will determine that,” she said.

The home has been cordoned off to allow detectives to conduct a full investigation.
