Three young teens arrested for assaulting, robbing 14-year-old hostage in Amsterdam
The police have arrested three young teenagers for abducting a 14-year-old boy and then assaulting, threatening, humiliating, and robbing him in an Amsterdam apartment building on Wednesday night. The police are looking for witnesses.
The 14-year-old victim encountered an acquaintance at Duivendrecht station between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The acquaintance threatened him and forced him onto a metro, taking him via Biljmer-Arena station and Bullewijk station to a storage room of the Hakfort apartment building.
Two other boys appeared. They beat up the victim, threatened him with a knife, humiliated him, and robbed him of his clothing and phone.
“He was subsequently released, and officers found him injured in a bush after receiving a disturbing phone call from a reporter,” the police said.
Detectives immediately launched a full investigation, resulting in the arrests of a 14-year-old boy from Leidschendam and two boys from Amsterdam, aged 15 and 16, on Thursday.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police have asked witnesses to come forward.
