20-year-old from Zwolle apprehended after police chase
A 20-year-old man from Zwolle was arrested after attempting to flee police during a speed control on the Zwartewaterallee, RTV Oost reports.
The incident began when officers were conducting a laser speed check and observed a vehicle speeding past. The driver did not stop, prompting a brief police pursuit.
During the chase, the man exited his car and ran on foot, with officers in pursuit. Multiple officers joined the search in the surrounding area. Police located and apprehended the suspect near Devotenstraat.
Investigators quickly determined the reasons behind his attempt to evade authorities. The man was taken into custody for ignoring a police stop signal, driving under the influence, and operating a vehicle with an invalid driver’s license, police reported.
