Albert Heijn, Xenos recall products over allergens and metal contamination

Supermarket chain Albert Heijn has removed its own-brand plant-based gyoza bowls from stores after discovering missing ingredient information on the packaging.

The recall concerns gyoza bowls with shrimp that are not listed on the label. The omission poses a risk to people allergic to shellfish, mollusks, and egg. The affected products carry the expiration date of September 28, 2025. Customers can return the bowls to any store for a full refund.

Separately, Xenos is recalling "Labuchoc" chocolate bars after a metal fragment was found in one of the green bars. The affected bars have an expiration date of July 16, 2026, and are sold in orange, purple, blue, and green varieties.

Xenos advises customers not to consume the bars and to return them to the store where they were purchased. Refunds will be issued even without a receipt.
