Dutch artists Joost Klein, Armin van Buuren set to perform at U.S. festival Coachella

The Dutch acts Joost, also known as Joost Klein, and Armin van Buuren are on the lineup for the upcoming edition of the American festival Coachella, according to the lineup published by the festival. The festival will take place next year from April 10 to 12 and from April 17 to 19.

Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Karol G are the headline acts for the next edition of the festival. Carpenter will perform on the main stage on both Fridays, Bieber on Saturdays, and Karol G on Sunday.

Other artists scheduled to perform include The xx, Teddy Swims, The Strokes, Interpol, Young Thug, Laufey, Major Lazer, and Iggy Pop.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, as its full name reads, is an annual music and arts festival held in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert in California. It was first held in 1999. Last year, the headline acts were Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone.

Joost Klein and Armin van Buuren are not the first Dutch artists to perform at Coachella. This year, Amsterdam DJs Mau P and Chris Stussy, the electronic group Tinlicker from Utrecht, and the house duo Shermanology from Amsterdam performed.

Last year, DJ Reinier Zonneveld from Alphen aan de Rijn and the Amsterdam DJ duo ANOTR performed. In 2018, DJ San Holo from Zoetermeer was on the lineup, and in 2017, the Dutch-Norwegian indie rock band Klangstof performed.

In 2020, the Amsterdam group Altin Gün, known for Turkish psychedelic folk rock, and DJ Satori from Nijmegen were scheduled to perform, but the festival was canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
