Three boys sought in Haarlem train station stabbing that injured two
Police on Saturday night were searching for three boys following a stabbing at the Stationsplein near Haarlem’s train station that left two people injured, authorities said. A public alert was issued through Burgernet to help locate the suspects, Noordhollands Dagblad reports.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., according to a police spokesperson. While the exact circumstances remain unclear, investigators believe an argument among a large group of youths may have preceded the violence.
Police and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene. Officials said the victims’ injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. One of the injured was taken to a hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
At the site, police conducted an investigation, photographing several members of the youth group present during the stabbing. Witness statements were also collected.
Train services in the area were not disrupted, police said. The search for the three suspects was ongoing late Saturday.
