Severe crash closes A12 near Bunnik for hours overnight
A serious accident on the A12 highway near Bunnik closed the road in the direction of Utrecht for more than six hours overnight, NOS reported. The crash occurred between Bunnik and the Lunetten junction, prompting a major emergency response shortly after midnight.
A trauma helicopter was dispatched to the scene, along with other emergency services. Rijkswaterstaat confirmed that the A12 remained closed until 6:20 a.m. Friday, after which the road was reopened to traffic. Until then, drivers were rerouted through Barneveld and Amersfoort.
