Pleasant spring day will usher in at least a week of summer warmth
Today’s pleasant spring weather, with a mix of cumulus clouds and sun and maximums up to 19 degrees, is the start of a stretch of good weather for summer-loving folks. Temperatures will steadily increase, and next week will see great summer weather, Weeronline expects.
Thursday started sunny, with some cloudy fields in the southeast and east. By the end of the morning, there will be some more cloud cover inland, but still plenty of room for the sun. There may be a shower here and there, but the vast majority of the country will remain dry. The Wadden islands will see maximums climb to around 15 degrees, the rest of the country will get 17 to 19 degrees.
Friday will also start sunny, with a few cumulus clouds forming inland late morning. The afternoon will be a mix of clouds and sunny periods, though the beaches should see mostly sunshine. “With a weak to moderate easterly wind, it will be 18 to 21 degrees,” Weeronline said. “The coastal areas will have to deal with a moderate to sometimes quite strong northerly wind, which will make it feel cooler.”
The weekend will see pleasant outdoor weather with lots of sunshine, only a few clouds, and a weak to at most moderate wind from the east. On Saturday, maximums will rise to between 20 and 23 degrees, with only the Wadden Islands lagging below the “warm day” mark at 17 degrees. Sunday will be slightly warmer, with thermometers climbing to 25 degrees in some places.
Also after the weekend, the weather will remain dry with lots of sun and warm temperatures. “During the day, it will be 20 to 25 degrees, and at night about 9 degrees.”
