Care institutions break ties with employment agency that sent unqualified personnel

Several care organizations have decided to stop their collaboration with a temporary employment agency that was supplying workers who did not have the required diplomas for the job. Enver (Zuid-Holland) and Prisma (Noord-Brabant) have broken all ties with the company Allround Care.

The media platform Follow the Money reported that the employment agency from Nieuwegein had supplied more than 100 workers who did not have the required diplomas or had falsified diplomas. These workers had worked with people with a handicap and in youth care.

According to Follow the Money, this info was detected after it was investigated by the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate as part of an experiment in which the police and inspectorates are working together to combat crime in the care sector.

Allround Care responded to the accusations, saying that the reason for the lack of diplomas was a software issue. “This resulted in the loss of some of the documents. Allround Care immediately informed the healthcare institutions and the Inspectorate of this, including proof of data loss,” an attorney for the company said.

Enver stated on Thursday that their contract with Allround Care was scrapped on April 1 and that no more temporary workers from the agency will be used.

Prisma has said that they have sharpened their controls regarding this issue. “Supplying the best care with qualified personnel remains our top priority. The quality and safety of the care for our clients is the most important thing,” the organization said.

Another care organization that worked with Allround Care, Gemiva, asked all their workers who worked via Allround Care to send in their diplomas after they had received a letter from the inspectorate. “Of the nine temporary workers, we never heard from three after we asked for their papers. Three refused to provide their diplomas. Of the three who did have the right papers, two continued working for us. But through a different employment agency,” they said to Follow the Money.
