Second explosion damages home in Almere; minor arrested nearby
A home on Tapirstraat in Almere was struck by a second explosion in just over two weeks during the early hours of Saturday morning. The blast occurred around 2 a.m. and caused significant damage to the residence. No injuries were reported, but nearby houses were also damaged by the force of the explosion.
Following the incident, police arrested a minor from Amsterdam in the vicinity. According to authorities, the boy attempted to flee but was apprehended after a short pursuit. This marks the second arrest related to explosions at the same address.
The previous explosion took place on April 4. After that incident, the mayor ordered the house closed as a safety measure. Police also made an arrest in connection with that earlier explosion.
In response to the repeated attacks, police have increased patrols in the neighborhood to enhance security. Additional preventive measures have also been implemented to protect residents in the area.
