Delft man sentenced to 30 months in prison for organizing gang rapes of underage girl
The court in The Hague has sentenced 68-year-old Paul P. from Delft to 30 months in prison for sexual exploitation of an underage girl. The man organized gang rapes on two occasions in his flat, with several men paying to rape the girl.
The suspect put an advertisement online in order to arrange paying customers for two gang rapes with the victim who was 16 and 17 years of age during the incidents. The men paid 150 euros per person.
The victim was handed a few dozen euros in each case. Five men participated in the rape at each incident. The suspect also had child rape footage of the victim on his telephone.
“The suspect only had an eye for his own financial gain and used the insecurity and vulnerability of the victim,” the court stated in the verdict. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) had recommended a jail sentence of 30 months in prison, with six of those suspended conditionally.
When determining the sentence, the court takes into account that the suspect has previously been convicted of indecency with a minor. The court blames the suspect for committing sexual offenses again for that offense during his probation period.
