Code Yellow due to dense fog, cancelled and delayed flights at Eindhoven Airport
The KNMI warns of locally dense fog in Limburg and Noord-Brabant on Sunday morning. Code yellow has therefore been issued for the provinces. Visibility is less than 200 meters locally, and traffic in particular may be affected by the fog, the national meteorological station reports. The fog is expected to clear in the second half of the morning.
As a result, travelers at Eindhoven Airport may experience delayed or canceled flights on Sunday, the airport warns on its own website.
The airport's website shows that a flight to Gdansk in Poland has been canceled. Several other flights have been delayed due to the fog. A number of arriving flights have been diverted to Weeze or Cologne in Germany.
According to Weeronline, however, the fog should clear during the morning and Sunday should be sunny. Temperatures will also rise to between 11 and 13 degrees. In the south, it could be up to 14 degrees locally. It will be calm autumn weather with a weak to moderate easterly wind. The sun will set in the late afternoon and it will become colder again in the evening and it may become foggy.
