Schiedam criminal killed in shootout between rival cartels in Mexico: report

Convicted drug trafficker Marco Ebben from Schiedam was killed in Mexico, Rijnmond reported based on information from various sources. The 32-year-old Dutchman was allegedly shot dead in a shootout between rival cartels.

Amsterdam rapper Djaga Djaga, who is currently serving an 18-year prison sentence for murder, confirmed Ebben’s death on Instagram. “Rest in peace warrior, Marco Ebben,” he wrote. Ebben’s lawyer was not available to comment to Rijnmond on Tuesday morning.

Ebben has been on Europol’s list of wanted criminals for some time. He still had to serve a prison sentence in the Netherlands for his role in the drug trafficking case involving corrupt customs officer Gerrit G. In October 2020, the court sentenced Ebben to 7 years and 4 months in prison for drug trafficking from Brazil to the Netherlands.

The Schiedam man, son of convicted criminal Henk Ebben, was also linked to the Vlaardingen plumber Ron van Uffelen, who died earlier this year after being the target of countless explosive attacks.
