Two men arrested for holding woman hostage in Rotterdam home

The police arrested two men in Rotterdam on Thursday evening for holding a young woman hostage in a home on Gijsinglaan. Exactly what happened is still unclear, Rijnmond reports.

The woman managed to raise the alarm herself, reporting that she was being held against her will.

A special police raided the home on Gijsinglaan in Rotterdam’s Delfshaven district at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. They arrested the two men.

The police are investigating what happened and whether it was really a hostage situation.

The woman’s condition is unknown.
