Pleasant summer weather expected in August
Summer vacations have started for almost everyone in the Netherlands, and the long-awaited vacations will soon start in the Northern region, too. Even though July has not yet brought the hoped-for hot summer weather, this is set to change, especially in August.
The first half of July was once again very wet. Some places in the southeast of the country have already significantly exceeded the 100 mm mark. Typically, an average of only 79 millimeters falls nationwide in the whole month of July. This is not the first time we have had to contend with excess rainwater recently. Almost every month since August last year has been much wetter than usual.
Fortunately, this is changing from August onwards, as the weather is expected to get much better in the coming months than it has been recently. According to Weeronline, there will be less rain, and temperatures will reach normal levels of 20 to 25 degrees. The sun will shine regularly, but there will also be the occasional shower.
The weather service says that the coming period will be favorable for holidaymakers at home. According to Weeronline, the beginning of August also shows that things are heading towards summer weather.
Weeronline expects less precipitation than usual. In addition, daytime temperatures appear to be around or just above normal for this time of year. "Summer temperatures of 25 degrees or just above are quite possible, especially inland." After that, the chances of precipitation will gradually increase again.
