Third explosion in a week in Den Bosch, Arab restaurant targeted

In Den Bosch, an explosion occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday at an "Arab" eatery on the Oude Engelenseweg, the police reported. The loud bang at around 4:45 a.m. caused several windows to shatter.

Forensic specialists are investigating whether heavy fireworks were used, a police spokeswoman says. The area has been cordoned off for investigation. According to Omroep Brabant, it concerns a Syrian restaurant.

It is the third explosion in Den Bosch in a week. Earlier, the Syrian supermarket Al Salam was targeted twice by an explosion with fireworks, one on Oude Vlijmenseweg and the other on Churchilllaan. Omroep Brabant reported that the explosive was placed in a trash can next to the supermarket and caused minor damage.

Just one day later, an explosion took place at the Dunya supermarket on Churchilllaan. This explosion caused more damage, such as shattered windows and loosened ceiling panels, according to the broadcaster.

The police are investigating whether there is a connection between the three incidents and are calling on witnesses to come forward.
