NAC celebrated on Grote Markt in Breda today

Breda will celebrate NAC’s promotion to the Eredivisie on Monday afternoon with a ceremony on the steps of the town hall on the Grote Markt, the municipality reported. On Sunday evening, the team bus was welcomed in the parking lot at the Rat Verlegh Stadium, where thousands of fans followed the match against Excelsior in Rotterdam on a video screen.

NAC lost the match 4-1, but because the club had won the home match 6-2 five days earlier, the Noord-Brabant team returned to the Eredivisie after a five-year absence.

“Thanks to ‘never give up, always persevere,’ NAC Breda and its supporters are back in the Eredivisie,” said Breda mayor Paul Depla. “With NAC and the supporters, the Eredivisie will get more shine.”

The ceremony on Monday will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live by Omroep Brabant. Everyone is welcome on the Grote Markt from 1:00 p.m. Two video screens will also be placed on the square because “full is full,” the municipality said.
