Police investigating Zevenaar house in connection with woman missing since December
The police are investigating in and around a home on Von Weberstraat in Zevenaar on Thursday in connection with the disappearance of a 42-year-old woman. She went missing on 29 December 2023. The police released her photo on Thursday, describing her case as “urgent” and “very concerning.”
The police believe the woman may have fallen victim to a crime. Investigators would like to make contact with anyone who has seen her since December 29.
The police did not say why the woman’s disappearance was suddenly considered urgent after seven weeks. “We are well aware that a longer period of time has passed, but no matter how small the information seems to you, all information can be useful for the investigation.”
A large-scale investigation team cordoned off the home and was combing it on Thursday. Police officers also spoke to locals in the Gelderland border down. They expect the investigation to take several days.
