Amber Alert for missing Rotterdam girl, 12
The police issued an Amber Alert on Friday morning, calling the public's attention to the disappearance of 12-year-old Hania from Rotterdam. The girl went missing on Thursday afternoon. The police call her disappearance "worrying" and "urgent".
According to the police, Hania left school at around noon on Thursday. She was supposed to be home at 3:00 p.m., but never arrived. The girl was last seen on Vaandrigstraat in Rotterdam. She is 1.7 meters tall and has dark brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a white dress with a flower print, white leggings, white shoes, a black jacket, and a pink backpack.
Hania told her teacher that she had an appointment at the orthodontist, which was not true, police investigation showed, according to NU.nl. "During that investigation, we became very concerned about her wellbeing", a police spokesperson said to the newspaper. Family members told the police about previous chat contacts the girl had, which were erased. Other clues the police found made their concern for the girl only greater.
The police call on the public to keep an eye out for Hania and call them immediately if you think you saw her. The police also want to make contact with anyone with any information about her whereabouts.
