Enschede quadruple murder was Mexican woman's revenge for child's death: report

The murder of four men in an Enschede grow shop last year was a Mexican woman's revenge for the death of her twin brother and 4-year-old daughter, crime reporter Hendrik Jan Korterink said based on information on a USB stick he received from a Russian man and telephone conversations with one of the suspects. The woman's brother and daughter were chopped into pieces and dumped into the Twente canal with over 100 kilograms of heroin and 100 kilograms of cocaine, according to the information, AD reports.

On November 13th last year, four men were shot dead in a grow shop on Van Leeuwenhoekstraat in Enschede. Three weeks later the police arrested three suspects, 58-year-old Camil A. and his two sons 32-year-old Dejan and 30-year-old Denis. Previously there were speculations that a bad batch of cannabis was behind the murders.

Korterink found this version of events on a USB stick given to him by a Russian man he only knows as Oleg, according to the newspaper. After the crime journalist revealed the information on the USB stick on Friday, suspect Dejan A. twice called him from prison on Saturday. The suspect said that he did not know this scenario, but that it is 90 percent true. He was in a relationship with the Mexican woman named on the USB document and it would not surprise him if her daughter is his child, Dejan A. said to Korterink.

The journalist said that he is skeptical about the information himself, according to AD. Dejan A. was crying on the phone, but Korterink hesitates about how to interpret that, he said. Dejan A.'s lawyer refused to respond to the statements his client made to Korterink. The Public Prosecutor told the newspaper that it does not believe this scenario, but is investigating it.
