Eindhoven bound Ryanair flight makes emergency landing in Paris
A Ryanair flight that left from the Portuguese city of Faro to Eindhoven on Sunday morning, had to make an emergency landing in Paris due to a technical defect. According to passengers on the plane, one of the Boeing 737's engines failed, NU.nl reports.
Two passengers on board the plane told the newspaper that there was considerable panic. "There were crying people, crying children. We were not told what exactly was going on, just that there was a problem with the engine", one passenger said. "After the landing it was announced that the right engine had failed due to a lack of oil pressure."
Ryanair hasn't confirmed that the emergency landing was due to a failed engine, according to the newspaper.
Flight FR7411 departed from Faro at 6:35 a.m. on Sunday and was scheduled to arrive in Eindhoven at 10:35 a.m. At 8:30 a.m. the Ryanair pilots reported a technical defect, and the plane made an emergency landing at Aéroport Paris-Beauvais in Paris. Ryanair sent a new plane to pick up the stranded passengers and bring them the rest of the way to Eindhoven.
