Woman injured in stabbing at Velp gas station

A woman was injured in a stabbing incident at the gas station on the Velperbroekcircuit in Velp on Friday morning. The police arrested a man a short time after the stabbing.

The incident happened at around 9:45 a.m., according to De Gelderlander. Emergency services responded to the scene en masse. The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene and then went to hospital on her own. The victim is said to be a middle-aged woman, the newspaper writes.

The motive for the stabbing is still unclear. The police cordoned off part of the gas station for investigation, though customers were still able to refuel their cars.
