Tiny Amsterdam room to let for €878 per month

The madness on the Amsterdam housing market seems to have reached a new low point with an ad for a room for rent on Kamernet.nl, which RTL Nieuws discovered. The six square meter room was advertised for 878 euros per month. The ad has since been removed.

The room is part of an apartment on Roetersstraat, which you will share with one roommate. In addition to the monthly rent, which includes water and lights, the tenant is also required to pay a deposit of 1,700 euros and take over the bed and bookcase in the room for 250 euros. On top of that, the boiler is located in the room's cupboard.

For this money, you get a room with "lots of daylight and a view of a courtyard", the ad read, according to the broadcaster. The apartment has a dishwasher, a washing machine and a dryer. The tenant can also use the existing kitchen utensils.

Last year RTL Z discovered that a parking spot in Amsterdam was listed for the same price as a Friesland home.
