Guide dog pelted with fireworks in Alkmaar

Fireworks were thrown at a guide dog in Alkmaar this weekend. The dog fled from the bangs, resulting in his owner falling. The police are looking for witnesses, local cop Johan de Caluwe said on Twitter.

The incident happened at around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in Rekerhout park near Thijssepad. The police are looking for two young men who were riding on a scooter with no license plate.

The police call on the young men in question to turn themselves in and for any witnesses to come forward.
