Steenwijk resident caught transporting cannabis plants on car's bike rack

"We sometimes see crazy things", the Steenwikerland police wrote on Facebook after catching a man transporting four large cannabis plants through Steenwijk on his car's bike rack.

The man was pulled over and his cannabis plants were confiscated, according to RTL Nieuws. He was not arrested. It is now up to the Public Prosecutor to decide whether he will be prosecuted.

"There is a tolerance policy on drugs in the Netherlands", the police said. But the possession of cannabis plants is still illegal.
