Two Dutch killed in car accident in U.S.

Two Dutch people were killed in a traffic accident in the United States state of Oregon, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed. A third person in the car with them also died. His nationality has not yet been confirmed, NOS reports.

The three people were driving near the town of Salem when their car was hit from behind by a pick-up truck. They then crashed into another car.

According to KATU News, the accident happened on Thursday. The victims died from their injuries over the weekend.

All three victims worked for Veldhoven company ASML, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to NOS. The victims' families were informed by the American police.
