Drug lab found in Etten-Leur garage

A drug lab was found in a garage behind a home on Brederolaan in Etten-Leur on Monday morning. Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested, a police spokesperson confirmed to NU.nl.

A large hole was dug into the floor of the garage, according to BN De Stem. Local residents told the newspaper that this hole was a recent addition - a container of sand was recently driven away. Exactly what the hole was used for, is not clear.

The police found a few liters of GHB, a few kilograms of amphetamine, around 100 ecstasy pills and raw materials for amphetamine in the lab. A gun and ammunition were also seized. A cannabis farm was found in the house, though it did not have any plants in it, according to Omroep Brabant.

The arrested man is the resident of the home, and the woman was in the home when the police raided it. According to BN De Stem, the police had been watching the home for some time based on tips about possible drug-related activities.
