Radboud University building evacuated due to fire
The Grotius building of the Radboud University in Nijmegen was evacuated after a fire broke out around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday. The fire is now extinguished, but firefighters are still working on ventilating the building on Montessorilaan, De Gelderlander reports.
Due to a large amount of smoke, firefighters had difficulty locating the spot where the fire was raging. They found it around 9:05 a.m. and by 9:45 a.m. the fire was under control.
The expectation is that the building will be released around noon. Exams that were scheduled in the Grotius building on Tuesday, will be moved to another building.
