Elderly woman found killed in Hague home

An 85-year-old woman was found dead in her home on Louis Davidsstraat in The Hague on Friday afternoon. An autopsy on her body showed that she was killed in a crime, the police said in a statement on Sunday.

Officers responded to the woman's home around 12:40 p.m. on Friday, after a report. The police launched an investigation because the elderly woman's body was found "under suspicious circumstances".

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the victim's death, is still ongoing.

The woman's neighbors are shocked by her death, according to newspaper AD. "She was such a nice person", one neighbor said to the newspaper. "Usually nothing happens here. This is really terrible."
