The Daily Show makes fun of "crazy-haired populist" Geert Wilders

On Thursday night The Daily show spent some time on the Dutch elections, though most of it was focused on PVV leader Geert Wilders. Presenter, South African comedian Trevor Noah, made a number of jokes about Wilders and his plans to bank Qurans and close mosques.

Noah showed a clip of Wilders saying that he is against Islam, calling it "violent" and "retarded", but that he has nothing against Muslims. "Wow, just wait until he finds out what religion Muslims are." Noah said. "That dude is going to be so pissed."

The comedian then turned to Wilders appearance. He wonders why so many Dutch put their trust in "a guy who looks like Christopher Walken when he was a Batman villain". He compared Wilders' hair with that of other populists - Boris Johnson in the UK and Donald Trump in the U.S. - and found them to be exactly the same.

According to Noah, there can be only one explanation. "We've been invaded by mind controlling aliens who look like bad hair." If we were watching a movie of ourselves it would be obvious, Noah said. "It's the hair, clearly the hair."

The episode will be broadcast on Viacom channel Comedy Central at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
