Aircraft carrying 59 crash lands at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport

A plane destined for Amsterdam crash landed at the Dutch capital's airport Thursday evening after its right landing gear apparently collapsed. The FlyBe plane departed from Edinburgh, Scotland with 59 people on the aircraft.

The plane wound up next to the runway in the aftermath of the incident. It was not revealed if the rough winds that forced flight cancellations in Thursday had anything to do with the crash. Wind gusts were expected to hit 130 km/h on Thursday.

Videos shared on social media separated to show the plane's propellers striking the ground.

There were no apparent injuries. The airport confirmed the incident on Twitter saying all passengers were brought to the terminal by bus.
