New Van Gogh painting surfaces in Netherlands

A Vincent van Gogh painting resurfaced in Oosterbeek, Gelderland some 50 years after it disappeared from the radar. It was discovered by art dealer Bob Albricht, the Telegraaf reports. The painting is titled View of the New church and old houses in The Hauge. Albricht bought it for an unknown sum from a French individual this summer. He could not believe his luck. "The chance that you encounter such a painting is nil", he said, according to the newspaper. Only a handful of art connoisseurs knew of its existence. The painting is now headed for art fair TEFAF in New York. It is listed for sale for 2.4 million dollars, or 2.2 million euros.
