Amsterdam kidnapping a calculated plot: report

Shehzad Hemani very carefully prepared for the kidnapping of his 2-year-old daughter Insiya in Amsterdam last week, according to AT5. He was spotted observing his ex's house for hours before the kidnapping. "On Wednesday morning around 11 o'clock I saw a man watching the apartment where Insiya stayed with her mother for some time", a neighbor said to the Telegraaf. The neighbor describes the man as an neatly dressed Indian man. "Only after I later learned of the kidnapping and saw a picture of the father did I make the connection." The neighbor is completely sure that the man she saw was 37-year-old Shehzad Hemani. She informed the police of what she saw. Insiya was kidnapped from her mother's home in Amsterdam around 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. Three men came to take her away. A local resident managed to overpower one of them and hold him until he was arrested by the police. The other two got away with the toddler. The police believe that father Shehzad Hemani is behind Insiya's kidnapping. According to Het Parool, Insiya's parents were in the midst of a custody battle. So far there is no new information about the toddler's whereabouts.
