Amsterdam to lower municipal taxes
On average, Amsterdam residents will spend less on municipal taxes next year, according to the city's budget for 2017 that Finance alderman Udo Kock presented on Wednesday, AT5 reports.
The municipality is lower the sewage taxes by 15 percent. But large users such as hotels, car washes and other businesses will see an increase.
The city is also investing in maintenance in public spaces and set aside 64 million euros to refurbish areas that need it most.
"The college opted for tax cuts for Amsterdam residents and to catch up in maintenance of public spaces", Kock said.
