Queen Maxima visits Zeeland

Queen Maxima visited Zeeland on Friday, where she learned about the cultivation of salty vegetables like samphire and sea lavender, innovation sin mussel farming and the breeding of fish on land, AD reports. The Queen visited Cloijnsplaat and Zierikzee, traveling between the two destinations by boat. On the way she spoke with representatives of the Zeeland mussel and oyster industry. At Zierikzee she paid a visit to the Zilte Academie Zeeland, where she listened in on a lecture of cooking with seafood. Commissioner of the King Han Polman invited the Queen to visit the province of Zeeland. He wanted her to get to know the Zeeland aquaculture.
