Fugitive Albanian killers caught after walking dog off-leash in Rotterdam

Two Albanian men sentenced in Italy to 30 years imprisoned for murder are in custody in Rotterdam and awaiting extradition. They were caught when Rotterdam police officers reprimanded them for walking a dog without a leash, the police said in a statement. On August 10th the police noticed the men walking with a dog with no leash on Vuurplaat. The officers reprimanded them, wrote out a ticket and asked the men to identify themselves. The men fled and the officers gave chase, arresting them a short time later. The two men gave the officers fake Romanian identity cards. Investigation identified the men as two Albanians, age 25 and 31 years, with outstanding prison sentences of 30 years against them in Italy. They are in custody awaiting extradition.
