Volunteers pickup 20 tons of trash in Dutch beach cleanup

About 2,300 volunteers picked up over 19 thousand kilograms of trash in an annual two-week-long clean up action along the North Sea coast, the North Sea Foundation announced on Sunday, according to ANP. Some of this year's more remarkable finds include bottles from England, a toilet seat, a cow hide, a Swiss Army Knife and the vertebra of an adult porpoise. This was the fourth edition of the ocean cleanup. Since its first edition in 2013 a total of 6,335 volunteers cleaned up over 57 thousand kilos of trash from the Dutch beaches. Last year a total of 11,555 kilos of waste was picked up.
