Ajax makes €32 million on player transfer

Arek Milik is transferring from Ajax to Napoli, the Amsterdam football club confirmed on its website. Napoli is paying 32 million euros for the footballer, Het Parool reports. Two year's ago the Amsterdam club took over Milik from Bayer Leverkusen for 2.8 million euros. According to Marc Overmars, director of Ajax's player policy, Ajax really wanted to keep Milik. But when it was announced that he would not leave, higher and higher amounts were offered for him. "Napoli wanted him very much", Overmars said. "In addition, Arek also wanted to go to Napoli. The transfer window is open for another month, which gives us the opportunity to attract a worthy replacement."
