Two cops hurt in car fire after police chase; Several arrests

A police chase on the A1 during the early hours of Tuesday morning ended in a car catching fire, three suspects arrested and two injured police officers going to the hospital, RTL Nieuws reports. The police gave chase after a car carrying three suspects refused to pull over on the A10 near Amsterdam around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The chase ended in Naarden, where the police forced the suspects car off the road. The suspects' car went up in flames almost immediately after their arrest. How this happened is unclear. Two officers were injured, both in on their neck. They were taken to the hospital for treatment and was since sent home, according to RTL. The road was closed down for several hours while the burning car was cleaned up. It is now open again.
