Weapons, drugs, cash seized in Rotterdam drug bust

The Rotterdam police raided three homes in Rotterdam-Zuid on Tuesday in a narcotic investigation. Eleven people were arrested and firearms, drugs and cash were seized, the police announced. The raids were done after the police received information that narcotics were being sold in and around a flat in Pendrecht. After surveillance, officers arrested two French men with half a kilogram of hard drugs in their possession. With the knowledge that more drugs may be found, a SWAT team raided the three homes. A short time later, nine people between the ages of 20 and 35 years old were in custody. In the homes the police found five firearms, including an automatic weapon, approximately 20 kilograms of a substance believed to be hard drugs and 60 thousand euros in cash.
