Baby born next to taxi, in front of Enschede hospital

One Enschede baby could not wait to come into the world on Wednesday morning. Not even the minute it would take mom to walk from the taxi into the hospital. The little bundle of joy was born next to a taxi, right in front of the MST hospital in Enschede, the Telegraaf reports. Delivery room employees rushed out to help mother and child. The baby was caught right there on the side walk. Both mother and child are doing well, according to RTV Oost. Taxi driver Wouter Alink was on his last trip before the end of his shift when he picked up the very pregnant mother. "As a taxi driver you often see some things, but this is a very special and unique experience", he wrote on Facebook. "One last call, a trip towards MST, and only barely not in the taxi. Great."
