Motorcycle gang leader held in 1,200 kilo cocaine find

The police arrested the leader of a No Surrender chapter in Sint Willebrord on Monday. Tjeu N, 51 years old and from Moerdijk, is suspected of involvement in smuggling 1,200 kilograms of cocaine, BN De Stem reports. He is the 11th suspect arrested in the case surrounding the drugs found on a Zeeland sports fishing boat stranded on the coast of Cadzand during a violent storm on January 15th. On Saturday 62-year-old Jack G. from Bergen op Zoom was arrested. He is the owner of a Rotterdam company that charted the tugboat Marian-V that picked up the cocaine shipment in Suriname, according to the police. This case got going when the people aboard a small Zeeland ship sent out a distress signal during violent storm on January 15th. The Coast Guard and the Royal rescue society KNRM rescued the crew before the boat ran ashore in Cadzand. After the storm the police and customs found the packages of pure cocaine on board. The captain of the tug boat and the owner and two crew members of the Zeeland fishing boat were arrested. Tjeu N. was the third crew member on board the fishing boat. According to BN De Stem, the police deliberately waited in arresting N. to do further investigation. This paid off because officers found drugs and a weapon in the house where N. was hiding.
