Air France-KLM CEO announces resignation

Alexandre de Juniac is stepping down as CEO Air France-KLM this summer. As of June 1st he will be working as chairman of the international trade association for airlines IATA, the Dutch-French airline group announced on Tuesday. "Working for Air France-KLM is a source of great pride" De Juniac said in a press statement. "I will continue to defend air transport and all airlines - including Air France-KLM - in my new role." De Juniac is taking over from Tony Tyler. Air France-KLM's board of directors thanked De Juniac for the "excellent" achievements he made with the "economic and financial recovery of Air France-KLM, the improvement of service offering and winning back customers." The airline group hopes to appoint a successor for De Juniac by no later than August.
