Herman Renz circus tent sold in bankruptcy auction for €80,000

The Herman Renz circus tent was sold for 80 thousand euros at an auction in Ermelo on Friday. The auction was organized by the tax authorities in an effort to recover debts from the bankrupt circus. Circus director Milko Steyvers was present at the auction, De Stentor reports. He called the sale "treasonous" and stated that it made him "angry and sad". He spoke of a "black day for circus Herman Renz". Steyvers hopes that the new owner will be willing to rent him the tent every now and again for a "new circus concept" he is thinking of. A handful of interested parties showed up for the auction. The tent was sold to a Dutch events company.
