Nations pledge better joint investigative work in terrorism cases

More than 50 nations pledged better cooperation when it comes to investigating suspected terrorists at the anti-terrorism conference in The Hague on Monday, broadcaster NOS reports. The countries agreed to share information about suspected terrorists and people known to be part of terrorist groups so that they can be monitored no matter where they are. They will also exchange sanction lists on which people or organizations' assets are frozen, so that this measure can be maintained in which ever country they find themselves. The conference was arranged and led by Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs. He again stressed the importance of sharing information. "Terrorism is like a virus, it adapts. We have to be faster than them", he said.
