About 700 kilos of illegal fireworks found in Maarssen barn

The police discovered between 600 and 700 kilograms of presumably illegal fireworks in Maarssen on Tuesday afternoon after an anonymous tip, news wire ANP reports. The fireworks were stored in a barn on a property on Herenweg. Though it is yet to be determined whether the fireworks are illegal, they were not stored according to the law. No one was present when the police raided the property and there have been no arrests.
